How does it work?Step 1: Choose an exercise based on your current mood or a specific issue you're dealing with. You can pick one randomly or focus on something that’s bothering you. Step 2: Dive into the exercise. Review it step by step in your mind or write it out. This is when your insights and reflections will begin to emerge. Step 3: Stay calm. Over time, you’ll gain a new perspective on the issue, helping you manage your emotions and feel more capable of handling similar situations in the future. There’s no “right” way to complete the exercises. Some may take only a few minutes, while others might require more time. Each exercise only takes a few minutes to complete, is easy to understand, and doesn’t require any prior professional knowledge.
-
Are the exercises based on proven methods?Yes, all exercises are based on various approaches that improve mindset and mental well-being. They are grounded in empirical research and are used by therapists and psychologists to support mental health and emotional growth. Liv offers multiple self-help tools that combine research-based theories and techniques from professional psychologists. Each exercise is grounded in one of three proven approaches: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): A widely used approach, CBT focuses on how our emotions and behaviors are shaped by our interpretations of situations. By changing these interpretations, we can alter our behaviors and emotional responses. Positive Psychology: Rather than focusing only on treating negative emotions, positive psychology emphasizes increasing positive emotions, fostering gratitude, and promoting awareness of the good in our lives to enhance overall well-being. Mindfulness: Combining principles from psychology and Buddhism, mindfulness encourages present-moment awareness. This approach, supported by extensive research, helps individuals become more attuned to their experiences, reducing stress and promoting emotional balance.
-
How can Liv improve communication within families or teams?By encouraging open, guided conversations and emotional sharing, our tools create space for honesty, empathy, and connection. They invite people to express vulnerability (if they choose), listen deeply, and bond through authentic communication. This builds trust, improves collaboration, and strengthens relationships.
-

Here are a few ways to use it together: Choose a tool together Each family member picks a tool that resonates with their current emotional state. After completing it individually or in pairs, come back and share your reflections. Start with a “weather check-in” Everyone shares how they’re feeling today—like “cloudy” or “sunny”—then together choose an activity that fits the group’s emotional weather. Afterward, take turns sharing a key takeaway. Make it part of your routine Use the kit during quiet evenings or family meetings to spark meaningful conversations.
